What’s New at MVNT Studio in 2026! 🎊

Another year is coming to a close at MVNT Studio in Culver City. The city has changed so much in just a year (especially just Mar Vista alone) and it has changed immensely since graduating from Culver City Adult School with my high school diploma after returning from the Philippines. As I continue to grow as a teacher I look to deeper work both professionally and within my own self into the next years.

Commit to my Values and Beliefs

Over the years I have learned that having your values and beliefs part of your own outlook and life aligns with your own business and teaching. Going beyond those values and beliefs means you are hitting walls with areas that feel like a block and will drain you overtime. So now my goal is to align my work deeply with my values and beliefs to regain strength within myself and to build a life that makes me feel good everyday.

Finding Balance

Finding balance in life comes to many as an obvious but a hard achievement in their work and life. Especially as a business owner. As many of my clients know that my life perspective, although morbid, comes from the looming and death of my father. An anchoring point in my life that changes how I see my own value as a person and how I can share with others. The balance is both in my physical health, while helping others and in my mental health while I teach through some of the harder times for my clients. As life moves on there balances shifts and so will I as a teacher.

Beyond Client Teaching

I do find that just like many of the licensed professionals that are clients of mine there are times that overtime we want to change what we focus on. I find that I like having a few teachers in training in my work days to help others find a unique personalized way of finding pilates in their bodies so that they too can teach others. A one tiem correction could be the one teaching cue to get someone to find it in all the repertoire they practice and teach.

Education Beyond the Mat

Now I know my CV shows how much I love to learn but the truth is that a lof of the science behind exercise, teaching and mental barriers don’t have an overlap that is experienced with clients in day to day teachings. Sometimes just the stress of life can make someone much stiffer than they would on a normal day. This shows up consistently in my work and with those actively recovering through an injury or surgery. The practices in mvnt studio ingrains the different aspects that make our movement and the nervous system to flow together rather than as individual aspects.

The year ahead is filled with so many new progressions for me. Mentally, physically and in my own ways spiritual awakenings and my zen. An area of being in my flow state despite the world falling apart around us. I can only handle what I can control in this life. I would much rather share caring and love in one’s body than where fitness has always been.
