Pilates During Pregnancy

One of the magical ways to deal with the aches, growing pains, and constant shifts in your balance, is pilates.

If You Learn Anything in Class Learn to Breathe

The pilates breathing of opening the ribs in all directions helps you during pregnancy because of the uterus expanding. Allowing the organs that need to move, to move. While also allowing the mother (especially mothers of multiples) to breath.

Strength for Life

Our pilates classes will mainly focus on strengthening the body as a whole in an appropriate manner that allows pelvic muscle control (used during contractions and in the bathroom) as well as keeping the core strong. Allowing your body to be strong through the days of carrying, lifting, bending and squatting while carrying yourself and your babe.

Pilates Origin

Although the tales and stories vary from all the searches you find online. We know it was meant to be rehabilitative. It is meant to get you back to living life to its fullest.
I hope this gives you an idea of what pilates truly is. It is strength and grace and more all in one package. I hope to bring it to you what it has brought for me.

Ask me anything, anytime and check out my other posts about pregnancy and postpartum. See you in the studio!
