Differences Between Virtual Sessions & In Studio

It’s not always feasible to work with me in person. It is likely that you are not local to Culver City, CA or that you don’t see a time available to train at the studio. These are also common issues when it comes to finding a trainer that works with those that have injuries who has the experience, educational perspective and ability to guide clients past fear.

Here at MVNT Studio, we take a different approach. This post will walk you through why our Pilates-based rehabilitation actually works—especially when it’s personalized, consistent, and rooted in your unique recovery needs.

A Life Pain Free

It may sound like a dream to be able to live your life pain free but it definitely is a possibility. Even for some just the relief of pain not being constantly there in their daily lives makes a life changing difference. However, this is my goal with my clients. It may be your first time finding a workout to do or a new routine that is new for you but there are ways to make it work. These are some of the ways we can get you to a life pain free with MVNT.

Monthly Accountability

Time management with a busy work schedule, parenting or care taking and also working our your own self and well being seems like a time consuming task and truly it is. There are endless apps to go to for a routine and a “custom” workout plan but does it actually work for you? Most of the time it doesn’t. Here we will have monthly accountability check in with how your are feeling within your self, any noticeable changes since our last check in and also address any questions or concerns you have with your movement that could use improvement or additional guidance to meet you where you are at. This makes it easier for you to reflect back on how things have changed and how significant it has been for you!

Weekly Achievements

Breaking it down further to weekly achievements, clients often will experience a change or shift in their pains levels and where they are feeling tight and stiff. Not only does this help create your plan further into the next week but also lets me be aware of where you are in your progression! Often times what feels like a set back is actually your body adjusting and starting to be able to do the movements in a more functional way that it ever has before. These small wins make for a major change for clients daily lives and reminds them that they have made progress even week to week and not to become afraid of moving agan.

Daily Routine Reminders

Now I know daily sounds a bit much but often times a gentle nudge towards micro movement throughout the day can help alleviate a lot of our compensating pains. From getting to breath a bit deeper to relax the back, neck and shoulders. Or for some a gentle stretching routine after and outdoor activity such as hiking or a concert can be a major game changer for how their body will feel into the next day!

Our MVNT Approach

A deep dive on our approach is in a previous post. Our MVNT method in summary focuses on all your past history, your lifestyle that may increase inflammation, and your goals and movement needs day to day.

These factors in mind develop into our full MVNT practice. Involved with in person or virtual pilates based training, following client education with an at home practice to continue daily. These become the stepping stones so that once each is met in ways that pain is reduced we continue to return your body to the abilities of it’s fullest potential while preventing further pain and discomfort that may involve more corrective exercises for imbalances in your musculature. Once each step is achieved we slowly progress to the movements the spine is able to do and challenge your areas of issue so that we provide the guidance and skills so that those movements no longer become an issue!

Our goal is to get you back to moving as your best self while preventing future set backs. So if this was informative to you and may interest you in becoming a client with me. Find our studio and see us for a consultation any day.
