What’s New in Culver City?

It’s a new year and over the holidays we got to try some of the new finds and businesses that are very close to the pilates studio! We hope you also get a chance to try them and see what works for you!

Cofax

10868 Washington Blvd, Culver City, CA 90232

Offers coffee, espresso drinks and breakfast foods! We got to try their breakfast burrito around the first month they opened and it was pretty good! I’m more of a fan of having mild salsa which didn’t come with it but of course just something nice to be aware of.

Fat + Flour LA Quiche

Fat + Flour

Full size (preorder) pies and slices! As well as quiches, cookies and other seasonal changing menu items.

Brightside Yoga

Offering heated yoga classes and infrared sauna.

A lovely white, pink and red energy studio. Utilizing heat to create the sweat some people crave but also offering chromotherapy (color light therapy) and infrared saunas. The classes I was able to take are still small but i can see a full class having over 20 people in this very large studio space! There are make your own code lockers, mats and blocks to use.

As for the infrared sauna service they have individual rooms with towels and a cold towel to use after, dry shampoo and a mirror to use. They don’t have showers here but that seems ok as most are walking distance or live very close by so I can see why they utilized a larger studio space.

I’ve enjoyed the infrared saunas more in the chill we’ve had this winter-ish season. It may be something for you to use too to it can help you sleep, improve your mood, and can also help ease some of the joint ache you may be experiencing lately.
