Pilates for Physical Therapy

Whether you are new to my blog or a returning client I want to offer more info to you on what the clinical pilates I offer at Evolution is like.

Physical Therapy

After your assessment your physical therapy will have a plan of care for your current pains. It may include weekly or biweekly physical therapy appointments to start and further along incorporate fitness classes into the plan of care. This plan of care will be used to define your home exercise program (HEP) and other services you discuss that may be of benefit for your treatment such as the strength based fitness classes or pilates training.

Clinical Pilates

Once you’ve moved to incorporating more fitness into your routine you may end up seeing me! I use a mix of your current HEP plan, your lifestyle, and your goals to reintroduce dynamic movements into your routine. All of this will be noted for your treating physical therapist to see and read as well as be in your notes for others in your care team to read.

Long Term

For those who are interested in continuing pilates based workouts we offer private pilates training sessions that allow you 1-on-1 focused sessions with me. As I see fit and from your past plan of care I will incorporate more challenging and fun movements into your training. Allowing pilates to not just be your rehab alternative but also be your long term fitness program. Keeping you learning, moving, and strengthening in a balanced and comprehensive form.

I hope that helps you in deciding to see me at Evolution Physical Therapy. Can’t wait to see you soon!
