How Safe is Your Fitness Studio?

California counties, Los Angeles in particular has opened fitness studios and gyms for almost 2 weeks now. Luckily this may have given studios, owners, staff and independent contractor (your instructors) a chance to create an effective and efficient workflow to reduce client contact and enhance cleanliness.

Know that if your instructor is an independent contractor they should be paid to clean after classes if they are required to. Especially if there is no front office staff or front desk check-in employee at your studio.

So, how clean is your studio?

Of course there are more or less items added based on your local laws and ordinances so if you love fitness and enjoy a regular routine you can subscribe to your counties health department email updates to be the first to know!

I recommend having a pair of gloves for each day your plan to workout. That way when you get home you can throw it in the sink with hot water and soap to sterilize it. I soak them for 10 minutes and then rinse it out 2-3 times depending on the thickness of the item (esp your grip socks) so that they don't have soap residue in them. Hang it to dry and bag your clean pair for the next workout day!
